Why the Odyssey looks so blurry

When I first lifted up my phone, the whole frame was just a mess of trees, shadows and tangled branches. At first glance I thought “there’s nice light here”, but I couldn’t figure out which part to focus on. I just froze, unsure where to shoot. I used to waste tons of shots on scenes like this: stepping back, moving closer, twisting my angle over and over, just to pick a photo that’s “fine enough”.
